Obituary of Linda A. (Clooney) Trefry

Linda A. (Clooney) Trefry, 60, of Wakefield and formerly of Peabody, died Sunday morning at the Essex Park Nursing Home in Beverly following a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Gerald C. Trefry. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late William and Ethel (Johnson) Clooney and was preceded in death by her sister Cynthia Cuoco. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1967. She has lived in Wakefield for the past 10 years. Prior to her illness, Linda worked as an assembler and purchasing agent for the Cordell Engineering Company in Peabody, she also worked as a receptionist for North Shore Lincoln Mercury in Peabody for five years. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo and crocheting. Her favorite entertainment was being with her only grandson, Tyler Turgeon. Besides her husband Gerald, Linda is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Thad and Michelle Trefry of Peabody, a daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Dana Turgeon of Wakefield, a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Teri Clooney of York, ME, two sisters, Debra Cooper and her companion Donald Lamm of Lynn and Joyce Heafey of Danvers. Linda is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 2–4 and 7-9 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
