Obituary of Eleanor A. Hubisz

Eleanor A. Hubisz, 78, of Peabody died on Thursday, January 29, 2009, at the Phillips Manor Nursing home in Lynn. Eleanor, born on May 5, 1930, in Peabody, was the daughter of the late Boleslaw J. and Ludwika H. (Dombrowski) Hubisz. She was raised in Peabody, attended St. Joseph's Parochial School, and graduated Peabody High School in 1947. After high school, Eleanor attended numerous professional development seminars to further her education and was employed as an executive secretary locally until she moved to Atlanta Georgia in 1973. In Atlanta, Eleanor was employed as the administrative assistant for the Singer Sewing Company furniture division. After her return to Peabody in 1983, Eleanor was hired as the office manager at American Alltech Company, formerly of Andover. In addition, she worked for the Seaboard Products Company from which she retired in 1992. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Society at St. Joseph's Church until its closing, a member of the National Secretaries Association in Massachusetts and Georgia, and also the recording secretary and treasurer of the Georgia Association. Eleanor is survived by her aunt, Teresa Rydzewski of Peabody; her cousins, Anne O'Connor, Edward Rydzewski, and Linda Merrill all of Peabody; Joseph Rydzewski of Marblehead; Edward Dombrowski of Summerfield Florida; G. Constance Audet of NH; Raymond Kruszyna of RI and many other cousins. Her daughter, Lisa Wagner and sister, Constance Hubisz, predeceased her along with several aunts, uncles and cousins, including Edward Hubisz, Genevieve Kordalski, Dorothy Jones. Her funeral service will be held in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (location) Peabody on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
