Obituary of Ruth A. (Pasquale) Marsh

Ruth A. (Pasquale) Marsh, 78, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, died early Monday morning at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Richard Marsh with whom she shared over 46 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Angelo Joseph and Rose (Hayes) Pasquale. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. She has lived in Peabody for the past 43 years. Ruth worked as a bookkeeper at the former Jordan Marsh Store and for Young’s Furniture. She also worked for the Peabody School System as a cafeteria worker and later for St. John’s Prep in Danvers, which was by far, the most enjoyable work experience she had. Ruth also loved playing bingo, going to the Foxwood’s Casino’s, and going on cruises. She also enjoyed making her own cabbage patch dolls, but what was most important to her was being with her family and later her granddaughters. Besides her loving husband, Ruth is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Maryann Marsh of Salem and Kathleen and Michael McMahon of Marblehead, her two precious granddaughters, Allison Kate and Mallory Rose McMahon, and is also survived by her brother James Pasquale of Lynn and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Pasquale and Rose Mary Rougier. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be private. Memorial donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
