Obituary of Frances L. (Woodhouse) Trefry
Frances L. (Woodhouse) Trefry, 89, wife of Ernest J. Trefry of Lynnfield, died on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at her home following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Trefry was born in Salem on December 27, 1919 the daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn (Westland) Woodhouse. She was raised in Salem and graduated from Salem High School class of 1937. She then pursued her education at the Essex Agricultural School for 2 years. She moved from Salem to Lynn field in 1941 where she has since resided.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Trefry is survived by her children and their spouses, Nancy J. and Joseph Lingel of Lynnfield and William E. and Christine Trefry of Bradford; her grandchildren, Joshua J. Lingel of Brighton, James W. Lingel of Lynn, Andrew B. Lingel of Lynnfield, Todd D. and Stephanie Trefry of Bakersfield CA, Allison C. Trefry of Sun City CA and Eric W. Trefry of Bradford; a great granddaughter, Emma C. Trefry of Bakersfield CA and many nieces and nephews. Her daughter Linda L. Trefry predeceased her.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Lynnfield Community Church, 735 Salem Street, Lynnfield. There will be no viewing hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th floor, Boston, MA 02110.
