Constance “Connie” (Bonomo) Wynnyk
Constance “Connie” (Bonomo) Wynnyk, 85, beloved wife of Theodore “Ted” Wynnyk of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Friday March 6, 2009 at the North Shore Medical Center Salem Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Middlebury, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Mallia) Bonomo, she grew up and lived in Peabody for most of her life.
Mrs. Wynnyk worked in the Produce Department for the First National Store in Peabody for several years.
Connie loved her nurturing role as a mother, grandmother, aunt and sister, and especially cherished her grandchildren. She was skilled at making Afghans, cooking and was always the consummate host by always providing hospitality and having coffee with her friends.
She is survived by: her husband, Theodore “Ted” Wynnyk of Peabody with whom she shared 58 years of marriage; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol & Michael Zdanowicz of Peabody; three grandchildren, Michael & Joseph Zdanowicz and Sarah Zdanowicz all of Peabody; two sisters, Sally Silva and Carmen Howcroft, both of Peabody; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Bonomo of FL; four nieces and nephews, Ralph and Richard Howcroft of Peabody, Roseann Pappas of Ipswich, and Donna Bonomo of FL, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Bonomo.
A visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Tuesday at 10 AM in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. John’s Church, Peabody. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 175 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
