Obituary of Michael A. Maguire

Michael A. Maguire, 49, of Peabody, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, March 7, 2009. Michael was born in Peabody on May 5, 1959 son of Arthur M. "Artie" and Joanne C. (Lawrence) Maguire. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody Vocational High School class of 1978 and was a lifelong resident of the city. Michael was employed as a machinist at the General Electric Aircraft Engines Plant in Lynn, a position he has held for 24 years. He enjoyed sailing, golfing, playing softball, reading, traveling and most of all walking his 2 dogs Buddy and Niko. In addition to his parents of Peabody, Michael is survived by his siblings, Kimberly A. Maguire of Danvers, Lawrence M. Maguire of Haverhill, John M. Maguire and Patti Ann Maguire both of Peabody; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his many friends and coworkers. His sister Judith A. "Judy" Maguire predeceased him in 2005. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 12 noon in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
