Obituary of Fern O. (Langlois) Corbin

Fern O. (Langlois) Corbin, 86, of Salem and formerly of Newburyport, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at Salem Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late John W. Corbin, Sr. Born in Newburyport, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Miriam (Guy) Langlois. She was raised and educated in Newburyport and later lived in Salem for over 60 years. She was dedicated to her family and spent all of her time with them. She was involved with her family’s business, JW Corbin and Sons in Peabody, a wholesale rock and mineral store. Fern is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, John W. Corbin, Jr of Hawaii and Ken and his wife Bonnie Corbin of Salem and is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
