Obituary of Mark E. Kozwich

Mark E. Kozwich, 53, of Peabody, died at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston on Monday, March 9, 2009 after a brief illness. Mark was born in Salem on October 31, 1955 son of Edward A. Kozwich, Sr. and Catherine M. (Cavanaugh) Kozwich. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from the Peabody Veterans Memorial High School class of 1974. He then pursued his education and received an Associates Degree from Coyne Electrical in Boston. Mark was employed as the assistant manager at the Bay State Cleaning Company family business in Peabody. Mark was a knowledgeable and astounding person who could decipher a problem and fix automobiles and electrical problems and as an avid reader if he ran into a snag he would research until he found a solution to fix it. As an all around handyman and woodworker he would do anything for his family members and many friends. He was a member of the Danvers Fish and Games, enjoyed camping, fishing and summering in Limerick, Maine. In addition to his parents of Peabody, he is survived by his siblings, Edward A. Kozwich, Jr., of Peabody, Michael A. Kozwich of Swampscott, Katherine M. Grant and her husband Lawrence of Danvers and his 2 nephews, Jeffrey Grant of Lynn and Kevin Grant of Danvers. His funeral will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St. (downtown facility), Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Friday, March 13, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Peabody Lions Eye and Research Fund, C/O P.O. Box 67, Peabody, MA 01960. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, 226 North St., Salem.
