Obituary of James P. Brennan

James P. Brennan, 56, of Peabody, died unexpectedly Friday evening at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Lynn, he was the son of Mary (Aylward) Brennan of Peabody and the late William Brennan. He was a life long resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1970. James worked as a shipper/receiver for the Stahl Finish Company in Peabody for over 36 years. He also was a member of the National Guard for six years and was a member of the Danvers Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed the outdoors and the times he spent in Maine. Besides his mother, James is survived by two brothers, John and his wife Susan Brennan, and William Brennan, all of Peabody, two sisters, Elizabeth and her husband Frank Graczyk, and Kathryn Brennan, all of Peabody, four nieces, Christine and her husband Jeff Maguire, Beth and her husband David O’Donnell, Sarah and her husband Brian Bousquet, and Nora and her husband Matthew Gavitt, his grand nieces and nephews, Joseph and Patrick Maguire, Morgan and Maeve O’Donnell and Cameron Gavitt, and is also survived by his horse, Dexter. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
