Obituary of Angelo F. Evmorfopoulos

PEABODY - Angelo F. Evmorfopoulos, 82, beloved husband of Fofo Evmorfopoulos, died Monday afternoon at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home in Peabody following a long illness. Born in Alexandroupolis, Greece, he was the son of the late Fotis and Ralou Evmorfopoulos. He grew up there and was enlisted with the Greek Navy and Merchant Marine. He came to the United States in the early 1950's and settled in the North Shore area. He lived in Peabody for over 50 years. Mr. Evmorfopoulos was a Car Dealer for years, and was the Proprietor of Angelo's Auto Sales on Foster St. in Peabody before retiring. He took his experience with the Greek Merrchant Marine as a Communications Operator, and hosted the North Shore Greek American Radio Program last heard on WNSH. Angelo was a member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody where he was quite active as a Cantor for 52 years, and active in the St. Val's Men's Club. He also loved sports, and was a Soccer Coach for various teams on the North Shore. He is survived by his wife Fofo of Peabody, with whom he shared 18 years of marriage; a son, Fred Evans of Salem; two daughters, Nikki Ricchio of Maine and Pamela Sotiriadis of Tennessee; four grandchildren, and several brothers and sisters in Greece. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday at 9 AM from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 AM in St. Vasilios Church, Peabody. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
