Obituary of Lorraine (Lento) Mattaliano

Peabody, October 24, 2002. Lorraine (Lento) Mattaliano, 66, of Peabody, died early Thursday evening at her home following a lengthy illness. She was the devoted wife of Joseph Mattaliano with whom she shared over 43 years of Marriage. Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Angelina (Fiore) Lento. She had resided in East Boston for most of her Youth and had attended East Boston Schools. Shortly after she married she move to Peabody and has spent the last 37 years living in Peabody. She had devoted her life to her raising her family and later on spent time with her grandchildren. Besides her husband she is survives by 2 sons, Joseph and William Mattaliano, both of Peabody; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Ted Fitzemeyer of Melrose; sister of Evelyn and William Lento, both of Lynn, Gasper Lento of Everett, and Louise Chenard of Peabody; 5 grandchildren, Christina, Lauren, Alayna, Matthew, and Ariana, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Florence Prudente, Mary, Frank, and Nicholas Lento. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Peabody, at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
