Obituary of Carolyn J. "Carol" (Koziska) Quinn

Carolyn J. "Carol" (Koziska) Quinn, died peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Thursday, March 26, 2009 after a 16-year battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Robert F. Quinn. The daughter of the late Stanley and Sophie (Ferenc) Koziski. Carol lived her entire life in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School and she worked for many years for the Peabody School System Food Services. Carol was a warm-hearted person who loved all living things, and so many people, animals and gardens benefited from her kindness. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children and their spouses, Mary and Robert Peoples of Durham NC, John Quinn of Clinton CT, Robert and Donna Quinn of E. Greenwich RI, Kevin and Robin Quinn of Annandale VA, Mark Quinn of Peabody and Debbra Quinn of Danvers; 6 grandchildren, Jake and Katie Peoples, Tom and Joe Quinn and Bob and Caroline Quinn; a brother, Walter Koziski of Peabody; a special niece and friend, Mary Arsenault and her husband Frank and several nieces and nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and great grand nieces and great grand nephews. Carol was pre deceased by her siblings John Koziski, Betty Casey, Stella DeLucca and Frances Normand. Her family would like to thank the warm and caring staff of the Hospice of the North Shore, especially Soraya and Toni, who provided wonderful supportive care to Carol and Bob over the past year. Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 30, 2009 at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., (downtown location) Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Sunday, March 29, 2009 from 3 to 7 p.m. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers MA 01923.
