Obituary of Kathleen J. (Estey) Lynch

Kathleen J. "Kathy" (Estey) Lynch, 56, wife of George F. Lynch of Peabody, died after a lengthy illness on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her loving family at her side. Kathy was born in Lowell on May 11, 1952 the daughter of Irene A. (Jalbert) Estey and the late Reginald W. Estey. She was raised in Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School Class of 1970. In 1976, Kathy moved to Peabody where she has since resided. Kathy was employed for 25 years as a clerk at the Nynex Yellow Pages in Lynn and retired in 1997 from their Middleton office. As an avid bowler she belong to teams at Metro Bowl in Peabody and the Bowl A Mat in Beverly, and also enjoyed reading, cooking, walking and listening to music. Kathy devoted her life to her husband, 2 daughters and her family members and many friends. In addition to her husband with whom she shared 35 years of marriage and her mother of Beverly, Kathy is survived by her 2 daughters, Kimberly A. Lynch of Salem and Kelly M. Lynch of Peabody; her 2 sisters and their spouses, Barbara A. and Roy Lomicka of Chelmsford and Maureen J. and Jeffrey Klein of Beverly, her many nieces, nephews and friends. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., (facility) Peabody. Chaplain Susan Bailey of the Merrimac Valley Hospice will officiate. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Monday, April 6, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
