Obituary of Mary RG (Desrosiers) Robertie

Mary Skip Rose Georgette (Desrosiers) Robertie, 74, of Peabody died Monday peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after a short illness. She was born and raised in Fall River, Ma, the daughter of the late Louis B. and Irene (Hebert) Desrosiers and was a graduate of Dominican Academy of Fall River. She had resided in Peabody for the past 50 years. She had been employed at Tymshare of Salem as an administrative assistant and later at North Shore Pediatrics. She also worked at the Northeast Regional Red Cross Blood Program in Peabody for many years. Later she worked at the Pilgrim House Nursing Home of Peabody. Following her retirement, she became an active volunteer at the Peabody Council on Aging and was a member of the Triad Council at the Peter A. Torigian Community Life Center in Peabody. She enjoyed all outdoors sports, traveling and had a keen interest in helping others. She is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Laurence G. and Patricia Robertie and James P. Robertie all of Peabody, 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Renee Robertie of Newton Junction, NH and Mary K. and Richard Woodworth of No. Berwick, ME, two sisters, Jeannette Gauthier of Rochester, NY and Juliette Walker of Tiverton, RI, seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the former wife of the late Lawrence G. Robertie. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody Facility. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
