Obituary of Joseph W. Hussien
Joseph W. Hussien, 76, of Peabody, husband of the late Patricia Joan (Canavan) Hussien, died on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington.
Mr. Hussien was born in Peabody on March 30, 1933 the son of the late Joseph and Minnie (Adams) Hussien. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Hussien enlisted in the United States Army on December 27, 1951 and served a 17-month overseas tour of duty in Korea and was honorably discharged on December 17, 1954. Following his return to civilian life, Joe was employed for most of his working career as a leather worker at the Tanners Leather Company in Peabody until his retirement.
Mr. Hussien is survived by his children and 2 daughters-in-law, Joseph Hussien, Jr. of Salem, James Hussien and Susan Hussien of Peabody, John and Lynne Hussien, and Jeffery and Lynne Hussien all of Gardner; 4 grandchildren, Ryan Hussien of Beverly, Jared Hussien of Salem, Nicholas and Joshua Hussien of Gardner and many nieces and nephews. His brother Harold Hussien predeceased him.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., (downtown facility) Peabody. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Cremation will follow the services.
