Obituary of Leland J. Cole Sr.

Leland J. Cole Sr., 45, of Salem, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 18, 2009 at his home after a sudden illness . He was born in Beverly, MA on October 15, 1963 the son of Gary and Carol (Dube) Cole of Peabody and was raised and lived in Peabody before moving to Salem 10 years ago. He was a graduate of the Peabody Veterans Memorial Vocational High School in 1982. He had been a machinist with the Plus One Corp. of Peabody for 25 years. He later worked at the Woodman Engineering of Peabody and was also an independent building contractor for four years. He enjoyed fishing and boating as well as skiing and riding on his Harley Davidson motorcycle . He is survived by his parents of Peabody, a son Leland J. Cole Jr., of Peabody, two daughters, Amanda Cole of Peabody and Ashley Cole of Essex, his two brothers, Gary M. Cole Jr. of Salem and David P. Cole of Peabody, his sister, Christine Raymond of Manchester, NH, a granddaughter, Ava Cole of Peabody, an uncle Charles Mason of Peabody and many other relatives and friends. A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility with a Memorial Funeral Service there at 7:00 PM. A Family burial will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Haven from Hunger, 71 Wallis St., Peabody Ma. 01960 in his memory.
