Obituary of Walter Krochmal

Walter Krochmal, 85, of Peabody, died unexpectedly Sunday morning at Union Hospital in Lynn following a fall at Home. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Philip and Lucy (Malinowski) Krochmal. He was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. He has been living in Peabody for the past 45 years. Prior to his retirement, he worked for over 20 years in the maintenance department at Defcon Chemical in Danvers. Prior to his employment in Danvers, he was a truck driver during World War II. He also enjoyed woodworking and cabinet making. He is survived by a brother, Fred A. Krochmal of Peabody as well as many friends and cousins in the North Shore Area. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 PM at the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
