Obituary of Pauline J. (Capillo) Alviti

Pauline J. (Capillo) Alviti, 78, of West Peabody, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Mass General Hospital, Boston after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Alviti. She was born in Boston on March 6, 1931, the daughter of the late Rosario and Anna (Bandini) Capillo and was raised and educated there. She had resided in Peabody for the past 45 years. She had worked with the City of Peabody community development program for many years. She also worked with the S. S. Pierce Company and then with C.P. Clare in the accounting department for several years prior to her retirement. Pauline enjoyed going to Foxwoods and doing games on her computer. She will be remembered by her friends and family for her wonderful Italian cooking. She is survived by her loving children, Janice King, Paul, Carl and Philip Alviti and their spouses all of Peabody, her eight cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Ann Marie, Celia, Patrick, John, Kara, Joseph and Charles, a sister Anne Belmonte of Revere , many nieces and nephews and her adored Maltese dog, “Bandit”. She was the sister of the late Charles and Hermen Capillo. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St., West Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody. There are no visiting hours. Expressions of sympathy may be made by donation to Mass General Hospital, Hospice Unit, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114 in her memory.
