Obituary of Rose Marie (Donato) Leclerc
Rose Marie (Donato) Leclerc, 66, of Swampscott and formerly of Lynn, Peabody, and Beverly, died Tuesday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife and soul mate of Donald R. Leclerc with whom she shared over 44 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Josephine (Lacava) Donato. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, class of 1961. She later attended the former AIB, School of Computer in Lynn.
She first worked as a crossing guard for the Peabody School System and for the next 21 years, she worked at Western Electric, Lucent Technologies and AT&T in North Andover, and was a member of the IBEW union.
Rose Marie enjoyed cooking, loved doing puzzles and was a lover of animals, especially cats and dogs. She was a very caring and loving grandmother and great grandmother and was a great caregiver to her family.
Besides her loving husband, she is survived by four sons, Donald Leclerc, Jr. and his husband Louis Santiago of Haverhill, Paul and his wife Marcy Leclerc of Peabody, John and his wife Tammy Leclerc of Northboro, and Mark and his wife Heather Leclerc of Swampscott, a brother, Thomas and his wife Sharon Donato of Peabody, two aunts, Edith Savoy and Celeste Donato, both of Lynn, seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn Rose, Joseph, Olivia Rose, Jared, Colby, Cameron Leclerc, and Jonathan Santiago Leclerc, a great grandson, Jayden Harding, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church in Lynn to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are today from 2 - 4 and 7 -9 PM. Burial in St Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
