Obituary of Esther E. (Codair) Tyburc

Esther E. (Codair) Tyburc, 83, of Peabody, died peacefully Saturday morning surrounded by her family at Beverly Hospital, following a brief courageous battle with cancer. She was the devoted wife of the late Edward Tyburc, Sr. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian (Marttila) Codair. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a shipper and assembler for over 40 years at GTE Sylvania in Danvers, Post Electronics in Beverly and UNIX Laboratories in Danvers. She volunteered for Peabody Pop Warner, was active with the drum and bugle corps of Peabody and the Princemen of Boston, and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary post in Melrose. She was a very loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose first priority was always her loving family. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward Tyburc Jr., and his wife Dorothy of Peabody, a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and R. Michael Ransom Sr., of Peabody, a brother and sister-in-law, Roland and Patricia Codair of Georgetown, a sister Adrienne Odachowski of Salem, four grandchildren, Lisa and her husband Jason Griffith, Edward J. Tyburc, Ronald Ransom Jr., and his wife Christina , and Robyn Ransom and her husband Steven Follis, and two great grandchildren, Nicole and Sarah Griffith. She was the sister of the late Raymond and Lester Codair, Beulah Innis, and Shirley Polinski. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. John’ s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Tuesday from 4 until 8 PM Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Donations can be made in her name to the Cancer Research Foundation, ph# 623-561-5893, www.canceraidresearch.org.
