Obituary of Shirley A. (Jacavanco) Grenier

Middleton - Shirley (Jacavanco) Grenier, 64, beloved wife of Peter Grenier of Middleton, died unexpectedly at the Beverly Hospital on Friday May 15, 2009, following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Matuszak) Jacavanco. She grew up in Peabody, and graduated from St. John's High School. She lived there for many years, and lived in Middleton for many years. Mrs. Grenier worked as a Clerk with the Peabody Municipal Light Plant. Shirley enjoyed living simply and nurturing her family. She is survived by: her husband, Peter Grenier of Middleton, with whom she shared 18 years of marriage; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry & Robert Tirelli of Middleton; seven grandchildren; a step-son, Martin Grenier of Salem; a brother, John Jacavanco of Middleton, several nieces and nephews, and had a special close relationship with her late son Wayne's fiancé, Nicolette Doucette of Wilmington. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by her first husband Raymond Grenier, Sr., two sons Raymond Grenier, Jr. and Wayne Grenier, and a brother Richard Jacavanco and sister Pauline McDaid. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Tuesday at 10 AM from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. John's Church, Peabody. Cremation will follow the Mass.
