Obituary of Mary Grace (Nobile) Gantt

Mary Grace (Nobile) Gantt, 83, of Lynn, wife of the late Quinton Glen Gantt, died on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Beverly. Mrs. Gantt was born on June 23, 1925 in Lynn, the daughter of the late Orazio and Antoinette (Casire) Nobile. She was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School and was a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Gantt was employed for many years in the housekeeping department at Lynn Hospital and also in the same capacity at some nursing homes on the North Shore until her retirement in 1975. As hobbies, Mrs. Gantt enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, arts & crafts, doing crossword puzzles and collecting magnets. Mrs. Gantt is survived by 2 daughters Glenda P. Doran of Salem and Beatrice A. Hughes of Chula Vista CA; 8 grandchildren, Vicki McDonough and Vance Willer both of CA, Valerie Wagoner of IN, Thomas Doran of Salem, Sheila Dzengelewski of Peabody, Jason Gainley and Noel Lozada both of Lynn and Gabrielle Gainley of Haverhill and many nieces and nephews. Her daughter Sharon K. Reid, her grandson Robert McDonough and her 7 siblings predeceased her. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (facility) Peabody. Her funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
