Obituary of Alice M. (Bocca) Noe

Alice M. (Bocca) Noe, 83, of Peabody, died peacefully Friday, May 22, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Nicholas D. Noe with whom she would have shared 60 years of marriage this September. She was born in Cambridge, Ma on December 15, 1925, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Sousa) Bocca and was raised there and had resided in Medford before moving to Peabody 54 years ago. She was very active in Bowling clubs and bowled at both the Metro Bowl in Peabody and the Sunnyside Lanes in Danvers. She was a devoted Catholic and a regular communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Lynnfield. Alice was quoted as saying “ I loved everything I did in life” and was especially blessed in caring for her loving children and grandchildren who gave her so much joy and affection. Surviving her besides her husband are a daughter, Joanne Bergin of Weymouth, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward C. and Mary Noe of Newburyport, Ma and Dominic E. Noe of Eastport, Maine, a brother Edward Bocca of Cambridge a sister, Louise Auterio of Medford, her four loving grandchildren, Lauren Bergin of Longmeadow, MA, Michael Bergin of Dorchester, Alexandra Noe and Ann Marie Noe both of Newburyport and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Bocca and Florence Umberger. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody location. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Grove St., Lynnfield. Burial will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
