Obituary of Angelina B. (Barbuto) Maribito
Angelina B. (Barbuto) Maribito, 84, of Peabody, loving wife of the late Frank L. Maribito, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Beverly Hospital.
Mrs. Maribito was born on August 27, 1924, in Revere, the daughter of the late Anthony and Theresa (Meo) Barbuto. She was raised in Revere and graduated from Revere High School Class of 1942. She then pursued her education at Wilfred Beauty Academy in Boston and became a hairdresser. In 1961, the family moved to Peabody from Melrose.
Mrs. Maribito began her working career as an inspector at Transitron in Melrose and was later employed L.F.E. in Danvers. In 1987, she retired from S.S.I. Electronics in Salem as an inspector / supervisor a position she held for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends, and later was so proud of her 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren whom she cherished. Angelina and her late husband traveled extensively, and later enjoyed taking casino bus trips. As hobbies, she loved collecting dolls, gardening and designing floral arrangements.
Mrs. Maribito is survived by her 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Frank A. Maribito, Thomas and Sylvia Maribito all of Peabody; a sister, Grace Zelinsky of West Haven, CT; 6 grandchildren, Michele Pilcher of Berwick, ME, Lisa Roberts and Steven Maribito of Salisbury, Ronald Maribito Jr. and Paul P.J. Maribito of Peabody, and Robert Maribito of Exeter, NH; 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her son Ronald P. Maribito and her siblings, Barbara Madore, Joseph, Anthony, Peter and Robert Barbuto predeceased her.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., (location) Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday, June 3, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701 or the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston MA 02110.
