Obituary of George W. Bierman

George W. Bierman,84, of Peabody died Tuesday at the Sutton Hill Nursing Center in No Andover after a short illness. He was the husband of the late Nyo J. (Iserloth) Bierman. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 2, 1925, the son of the late George H. and Esther (Johnson) Bierman and was raised there and had resided in Peabody for the past 50 years. He was a graduate of Rutgers University in NJ and received his masters degree and Doctorate from M.I.T., Cambridge, MA. He was the president of the Herbert V. Shuster Co. Inc. of Quincy for over 35 years prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of WW II serving as a sergeant in the US Army. George enjoyed doing gardening and tending to his flowers and vegetables . He also Enjoyed playing golf and taking rides on his motorcycle. He is survived by two sons, G. Steven Bierman of Shrewsbury, MA and Chris Bierman of League City, Texas, 6 daughters, Cynthia Webster of Derry, NH, Barbara Corcoran of Bluffton, SC, Marsha Bierman of Amesbury, Jill Ryan of Hampstead, NH, Wendy Petrucelli of Stratford, CT and Mindy Reeves of No Andover, a sister, Dor Kettley of Maine,12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Service there at 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be private. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Merrimack Valley, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg 9, Lawrence, MA 01843 in his memory.
