Obituary of Carol Iannuzzi

Carol Iannuzzi, 47, of Portland, Maine and formerly of Peabody, died Monday afternoon at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a long courageous battle against cancer. Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Sorrentino) Iannuzzi of Peabody. She was raised and educated in East Boston, later lived in Peabody and has spent the last year living in Portland, Maine. She worked as a printer in the Publication Department for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Boston. Besides her loving parents, she is survived by her siblings, Donald and his wife Linda Day of Luneburg, Anthony Iannuzzi of Somerville, Joann Byrne of Wilmington, Annette DeMedieros of Revere, Colleen Fisher of Lowell, Jean Day of Chelsea, Lucille Stafford of East Boston, Catherine and her husband Anthony Leonti of Saugus, and is also survived by her beloved friend and partner Silvia Quintana of Portland, Maine, and by her aunts, uncles, and many nieces and nephews and her two cats, Meowoffe and Jonsie. She was the sister of the late Richard Day and Marie Iannuzzi. Following cremation, her funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM at St. John's Church, Peabody. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, Ma 01701.
