Obituary of Delphine (Silva) Lobao

Delphine (Silva) Lobao, 92, of Peabody, died Wednesday at the Masconomet Health Care Center in Topsfield after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Wilson Lobao. She was born in Peabody on May 17, 1917, the daughter of the Late Tiago C. and Virginia (Pais) Silva and had resided in Peabody all her life. She had been a Sales Clerk at the former Jordan Marsh Company at the North Shore Shore Mall in Peabody for 15 years prior to her retirement. She was skilled in arts and crafts and enjoyed doing ceramics. She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-laws, Wilson and Peggy Lobao of Peabody and Richard and Louise Lobao of Manchester, NH, a sister, Mary Sousa and a sister-in-law, Emily Silva both of Peabody, 14 grandchildren, Three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George Silva and Rose Moynihan. A visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Peabody at 9:00 AM. Burial will be in ST. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
