Obituary of Kathryn W. (Nickerson) Donahue

Kathryn W. (Nickerson) Donahue, 87, of Peabody, died Sunday at the Hunt Retirement Nursing Home, Danvers after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Bartholomew Donahue who died in 2001. She was born in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of the late George and Cynthia (Tripp) Nickerson and had resided in Peabody most of her life. She was a homemaker at home and loved to cook. She also enjoyed crocheting. She had a large collection of dolls and also dishes. She is survived by a son, Philip O’ Donnell of Peabody, a sister, Georgette Hayes of Melrose, a brother, Warren Nickerson of Methuen a grandson, Shawn David O’ Donnell of Peabody, a special niece, Georgette Curran of Melrose and many other nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late David O’ Donnell and the sister of the late Eleanor Patten. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:15 until 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. A Service will be held at 11:00 AM. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
