Obituary of Mary J. (Smith) Jackson

Mary J. (Smith) Jackson, 67, of Effingham, New Hampshire and formerly of Salem, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at the Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, NH. She was the wife of James P. Jackson. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Jeannette (Bosquet) Smith. She was raised and educated in Salem and attending Salem Public Schools. She has lived in Effingham, NH for the past 15 years. Mary dedicated her life to raising her family and later she enjoyed the company of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, James Jackson of Haverhill and Peter Jackson of Ipswich, her two daughters, Joyce Jackson of Effingham, NH, and Jill Jackson of Peabody, her 3 brothers, Bob Smith of Ossipee, NH, Larry Smith of Salisbury, and Joe Smith of Lynn, a sister, Nancy Armstrong of Beverly, and is also survived by her twelve loving grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Jeannette Jackson. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Mary’s Funeral Service will be held privately on Monday at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130
