Obituary of Regina L. (Carrarini) Priante

Regina L. (Carrarini) Priante, 93, of Peabody died Saturday evening at the Beverly Hospital after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Mario Priante. She was born in Beverly MA on May 23, 1916, the daughter of the late Gaetano and Angela (Verza) Carrarini and had resided in Peabody most of her life. She had been telephone operator with the NE Tel & Tel. Company at the Salem office. She later was employed in the leather industry before working as a clerk at the Champion Lamp and later Norelco Company of Lynn for 25 years before her retirement. She loved going to the Bingo games on the Northshore and was an avid reader. She is survived by a daughter, Angela Hermsdorf of Peabody and her companion, Richard Montgomery of Austin, Texas and many nieces and nephews living here and in Italy. She was the sister of the late Leo and Faust Carrarini. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Peabody at 9:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
