Obituary of Rita (Furey) White

Hull - Rita (Furey) White, 84, beloved wife of the late Robert White, died peacefully Sunday afternoon with her family by her side. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Nolan) Furey. She lived in Charlestown in her youth, and graduated from Charlestown High School. She then attended Boston Clerical School, and worked as a Bookkeeper for many South Shore businesses over the next several years. Rita, who was a past member and Treasurer of the Hull Yacht Club, enjoyed the ocean, boating and football. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She leaves her children and their spouses, Robert & Beth White, Jr. of Salem, Richard & Lori White of Smithfield, VA, Tricia & Daniel Ryan of Mansfield, Mary & Alan Colucci of Peabody, and Jim & Kim White of Canton; seven granddaughters, Megan and Kasey Ryan, Tory and Jackie Colucci, Kori and Kolleen White, and Lindsey White; a brother-in-law Brother Philip White, C.F.X. of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by nine siblings. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Wednesday morning for a visitation from 9 – 10 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 AM in the funeral home. A graveside Committal Service will be at 12:30 P.M. in Hull Village Cemetery, next to 1111 Nantasket Ave., Hull. Memorial donations may be made to either to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
