Obituary of Licourgas Michael Paul

Licourgas Michael Paul, 88, of Salem, died on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a long illness. He was born in Dover, NH, the son of the late Antonio and Bessie (Eliopoulos) Polehronopoulas and had resided in Salem, MA most of his life. He was a decorated veteran of WW 11 serving with the US Army 100th Infantry division in Southern France and the Rhineland and was the recipient of the Purple Heart and a Bronze Medal. Following his discharge, he was employed as a tanner with the A.C. Lawrence Leather Company in Peabody for several years prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Vasilios Church of Peabody. He is survived by a brother, Sydney Paul of Salem, a brother-in-law, Manuel Rezendes of Somerville, MA, his nieces, Kathy Kipouras of San Ramon, CA, Francine Kipouras of NY, NY and Joanne Rezendes of Somerville,MA, a nephew, George Kipouras of San Ramon, CA and several cousins. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 12 Noon at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:15 until 12:00 Noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
