Obituary of Guido Tadiello

Guido Tadiello, 84, of Peabody, died Thursday morning at the Shaughnessey Kaplan Rehab. Hospital in Salem after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Stella (Worobey) Tadiello. He was born in Peabody on June 5, 1925, the son of the late Celeste and Angelina Tadeillo and was raised, educated and resided in Peabody all his life. He had worked in the leather industry for over 40 years as a tanner and later a foreman for the Verza Tanning Company of Peabody until his retirement 19 years ago. He was a veteran of WWII serving overseas with the US Army. Guido loved to dance and went to many dance halls on the North Shore with his wife for many years and especially liked Polka dances. He was a lifetime member of the Italian American Club of Peabody and worked on the Monthly Supper committee at the club. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John G. and Elaine H. Tadiello of Londonderry, NH, his 3 grandchildren, Christine Alward of Nashua, NH, Cheryl Tadiello of Leydon, MA and Elizabeth Tadiello of Manchester, NH, 2 great grandchildren, Devin Alward of Nashua, NH and Kyra Holsombach of Leydon, MA, his brother, Lino Tadiello of Beverly and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody facility. His Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Mass on Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Disabled Americans Charitable Service Trust,3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076 in his memory.
