Obituary of Ermioni "Emy" (Kitsis) Reppas

Ermioni “Emy” (Kitsis) Reppas, 64, wife of Arthur Reppas of Danvers, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 26, 2009 after being stricken at a family gathering. Emy was born on January 21, 1945, in Fourka, Ipiros, Greece, the daughter of the late Theodoros and Zoitsa (Tsiastas) Kitsis. She was raised and educated in Greece and immigrated to the United States in 1967 making her home in Orange MA where she remained before moving to Danvers in 2000 to be near her family. Emy worked along side her husband at the family Orange House of Pizza business where she was the bookkeeper for 20 years. Since moving to Danvers in 2000, Emy has cared for her 3 grandchildren ranging from age 9 to 2 years and who where the love of her life. As hobbies, she enjoyed knitting, cooking, walking, dancing, traveling, gardening and planting her flowers. Emy will be well remembered by her extended family and friends for her continuous compassion and dedication. In addition to her husband Arthur with whom she shared 45 years of marriage, Emy is survived by her 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Joanne (Linardos) Reppas of Middleton, and Peter Reppas of Peabody; 3 cherished grandchildren, Athan, Emme and Dean Reppas all of Middleton; a brother and his wife, John and Nafsika Kitsis of Greece; 3 godchildren, Aubree, Amanda and Jacqueline; 2 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law, her other extended family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Her funeral will be held on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 8:45 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a service at 10 a.m. at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 3 to 7 p.m. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, 145 Boston St., Lynn. Memorial contributions may be made in Emy’s memory to St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody MA 01960.
