Obituary of ALma Danish
Cookeville, TN. November 4, 2002. Alma Gene (Seaborn) Danish, 89, formally of Allen Road, Peabody, died late Tuesday night at the Cookeville Regional Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Peter Danish.
Born and raised in Hermitage, TN, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Annie (Olds) Seaborn. She later moved to Peabody and had resided in the city for over 50 years before moving back to Tennessee a few years ago.
She had worked for General Electric Riverworks in Lynn and later at GTE Sylvania in Salem before retiring many years ago. She also was a veteran of WWII having served with the United States Navy.
She was a member of the Peabody Senior Citizens group of Peabody and while at Sylvania, the UEIUE, and the Second Congregation Church in Peabody.
She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Gleaves of Hermitage, TN and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 12 - 2 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at the family lot in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’ s choice.
