Obituary of Margaret (Crowley) Knox
Margaret (Crowley) Knox, 84, of Lynnfield and formerly of Boston and Hyde Park, died Friday morning at the Renaissance Gardens Nursing Home at Brooksby Village following a short illness. She was the wife of the late Edward C. Knox who died last year.
She was born in Boston, MA on February 11, 1925, the daughter of the late Margaret (O’Donnell) Crowley and had resided in Hyde Park for several years before moving to Lynnfield 11 years ago. She had been a member of the ladies United States Marine Corp during WW 11 serving at Camp Le Jeune in No. Carolina. Margaret enjoyed dining out and going on shopping journeys. She also liked to travel and had wintered in Florida with her husband for many years.
She is survived by her three daughters, Ruth Knox of Boston, MA, Diane Cassidy and her husband Dennis of St. Cloud, Fl and Kathleen and her husband Steven Tedesco of Peabody, a brother, John Crowley of Annapolis, MD, four sisters, Joan Fleming of So. Boston, Ellen Ryan of Harleysville, PA, Frances Kovera of West Roxbury, and Rosemary Dowling of Dorchester, her four grandchildren, Nicole Giuliani, Steven and Shawn Tedesco and Allison Cassidy and several nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Ann’s Church, South Peabody. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
