Obituary of William L. LeFave
William L. LeFave, 84, of Peabody, died Monday morning at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Clara (DeLuca) LeFave with whom he shared over 61 years of marriage.
Born in Wakefield, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Marion (Doucette) LeFave. He was raised and educated in Wakefield and attended Wakefield Public Schools. He has lived in Peabody for the past 58 years.
William was a veteran of World War II who served with the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1945. After the war, he worked as a Quality Control Manager for Tru-Connector in Peabody for over 30 years before retiring.
He was a member of the VFW Post 1011 in Peabody, loved bowling and hunting, and his favorite past-time was spending time with his family.
Besides his loving wife Clara, he is survived a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Richard Deleskey of Danvers, a son-in-law, Allen Gaynor of Peabody, a brother, Lawrence LeFave of Norton, five sisters, Jean Townsend of Lynn, Nancy White of North Reading, Marlene LeFave of Florida, Ruth Henderson of North Carolina, and Frances Green of New Hampshire, a granddaughter Jacqueline Deleskey, a great granddaughter, Sara Talbot and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Mary Gaynor and Brother of the late Cecilia Beaumont.
His funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
