Obituary of Dorothy (Guzofski) Ronan
Dorothy “Dear” (Guzofski) Ronan, 80, of Peabody, died Friday evening at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Donald James Ronan.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marion (McCarthy) Guzofski. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School. She worked as a secretary for Dr. Nalesnik for over 22 years before retiring in 1986.
She is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, David and Gail Bolles of Bridgton, ME, Thomas and Cheryl Bergeron of Lynn and Charles and Mildred Bergeron of Salem, 3 daughters, Carole, Barbara, and Judy Bergeron, all of Peabody, 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Lillian Guzofski and James and Lita Guzofski, all of Peabody, a step daughter, Debra Ferreras of Peabody, a special family friend, Juan Nunez of Peabody, and is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Robert Guzofski.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
