Obituary of Lorraine "Rainie" (Kemp) Osborne

Peabody - Lorraine "Rainie" (Kemp) Osborne, 69, died peacefully Friday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a long illness. Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Lillian (Collins) Kemp and the late John and Maude (Malone) Kemp. She lived in Malden in her youth, and graduated from Malden High School, Class of 1959. She lived in Martinsburg, West Virginia, then in Peabody and the North Shore for over 40 years. She was employed as an assembler with Anthony Industries, Inc. in Stoneham. Rainie enjoyed sewing, and Rainbow Girls. She will be remembered as a beloved and dedicated mother, sister, nana and friend. She is survived by: a son and daughter-in-law, Darren J. & Kelly Osborne of Martinsburg, WV, three daughters and a son-in-law, Shelley D. Miller of Frederick, MD, Stephanie Costa of Rockland, and Sharon & William Weekley of Huntington, WV; six grandchildren, Leiha Costa of Africa, Ashley Costa of Weymouth, Pierce Miller, Blake and Garrett Weekley, and Noah Osborne all of West Virginia; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, John & Wendy Kemp, Jr. of CA, Leslie & Helen Malone of RI, and Frank Malone of Peabody; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Connie & Jack Sweeney of Peabody, and Bernice Millar of CA and she also leaves many nieces, nephews and great-nieces & great-nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Graro. A Graveside Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday Sept 9, 2009 at 4 P.M. in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited.
