Obituary of Ailene M. Dullea

Ailene (Doody) Dullea, 88, of Nashua, N.H. died Tuesday evening at the So. New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Bernard C. Duke Dullea. She was born in Newburyport, Ma., the daughter of the late John F. And Elizabeth ( Meade ) Doody and was a resident of Nashua for many years. Mrs. Dullea was a School teacher for her entire career starting at the Peabody High School in Peabody, Ma. where she was the first married female teacher and later ending as a Special Needs Education Teacher with the Nashua School System until her retirement at age 70. She is survived by four children, Judith Slattery, Paul Dullea, Barbara Connolly and Robert Dullea all from the Nashua, N.H. area, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren,and a sister, Nancy Mc Cauley of Danvers. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Rt. 114 at the Peabody/Salem MA. line. Burial will follow in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem, MA.
