Obituary of Robert F. Plomondon

Robert F. Plomondon, 58, of Peabody died suddenly at his home on Sunday, September 20, 2009. He was born in Lynn, MA on June 8, 1951, the son of the late Peabody Police Officer Walter P. Plomondon and Rita M. (Dunn) Plomondon and had resided most of his life in Peabody. He was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School in Gloucester and East Coast Aero Technical School. He had been employed as a technical writer at the General Electric Company in the Riverworks building in Lynn for 16 years. He later became an independent contractor with Raytheon Company and later Lockheed Corp. prior to his disability retirement 17 years ago. He had been a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the US Army as a missile crewman from 1972 until his discharge in August of 1975. Robert had been a member of the Hamilton – Wenham Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed doing target shooting. He also made many model planes and had a love for old cars. He was the former husband of Sabrina (Carpenter) Plomondon. He is survived by his three sons and a daughter-in-law, Dustin and Maura Plomondon, Michael Plomondon and Jaymes Plomondon all of Peabody, a brother, Richard Plomondon of New Hampshire, a sister, Phyllis Maneiro of Salem and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 AM at the Veterans Lot in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody, MA. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01730 in his memory.
