Obituary of John J. Glowacki

John J. Glowacki passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, September 27th in Madeira Beach, Florida. He was 94 years old. A longtime resident of Peabody, Massachusetts, John worked for General Electric for 38 years, and was instrumental in the development of the Peabody Industrial Park. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus. John is survived by his wife, Irene Mary of Peabody, his daughters Joann Prochniak of Peabody, Katherine Collier of Florida and Mimi Nash of Texas, and his son Jack of North Carolina, as well as eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Lucy Kozlowski of Waban and Mary Meizis of Dorchester. His brother, Walter, predeceased him. A wake will be held on Thursday, October 1 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody. A funeral serivce will be held there at 10:00 AM on Friday October 2, with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
