Obituary of Mary (Albano) Gaeta
Mary (Albano) Gaeta, 89, of Peabody, and formerly of Lynnfield, died Monday at the Rosewood Nursing Center in West Peabody. She was the beloved wife of the late Carmen P. Gaeta. She was born in Boston on March 20, 1920, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Anna (Galasso) Albano and was raised in East Boston and later resided in Lynnfield and Peabody.
Mary worked tirelessly along side her family for 45 years in her family’s service station and towing business where she was the bookkeeper. She was an inspiration to her children, her grandchildren and all the customers that came to know and love her.
She is survived by her devoted children, Carmen and his wife Clara Gaeta of De Barry, Florida, Matthew and his wife Kathleen Gaeta of Lynnfield and Anne Morando and her husband Edward of Peabody. Also her loving grandchildren, Carmen, Michael, James, Joseph and Clara Jean Gaeta, Matthew and Mellisa, Mary, Carmen & Hahn Gaeta, Edward and Gina Morando, her cherished great grandchildren Mia, Michael and Rocco Gaeta , Carmen Rogers and Isabella Gaeta. She was the sister of Anna Leone of Revere, and Concetta Forte of East Boston and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many wonderful and loving friends from Peabody and Lynnfield where she enjoyed 20 happy years.
Her funeral will be held on Friday from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody MA facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Adelaide’s Church, 712 Lowell St., Peabody at 11 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., West Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923 in her memory.
