Evelyn (Belliveau) Hunt Clark
PEABODY—Evelyn (Belliveau) Hunt Clark, 83, wife of the late “Red” Hunt, and wife of Gene Clark of FL, died Monday morning at the Beverly Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Carlman) Belliveau. She lived there in her youth and graduated from Lynn English High School. She lived in Peabody for nearly 40 years, then spent time living partly in Tucson, AZ and Peabody. She also spent time in Sebring, FL.
She was employed for 17 years with Essex County. She was a Deputy Sheriff and Sheriff’s secretary, Salem jail correction officer, and her last assignment was Court Officer with Salem Superior Court before retiring in 1983.
Evelyn enjoyed travel, and she explored many an adventure going around the world. She also liked bowling, and camping locally in New Hampshire.
She is survived by: a husband, Gene Clark of FL; three sons, Gary Hunt of Nahant, Glen Hunt and Rory Hunt, both of Peabody; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by her husband “Red” Hunt and a grandchild.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. A Family Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10 AM in the funeral home followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
