Obituary of Philip R. "Ricky" Galvin
Philip R. Ricky Galvin 111, 27, a student at
University of Vermont Graduate School, died early Saturday morning from injuries sustained in a car accident on Route 2 in Bolton Vermont.
He was born in Salem, Ma. on April 7, 1975, the son of Philip R. Dick and
Dorothea Dotty (Fraser) Galvin of Peabody, and resided here most of his life.
He was a graduate of St. John’ s Prep in Danvers and the University of Vermont.
Following his graduation, he became a stockbroker in the New Jersey area and
Later worked with Investment Capitol Co. in Lynnfield, Ma.
In September of 2002, he entered the University of Vermont to take advanced cources
In finance and management . He was an avid outdoor sportsman and enjoyed
Hiking, Skiing, Fishing, Cooking and being with his family.
Surviving him besides his parents of Peabody are his fiance, Kaili Riel of
Beverly, 2 sisters, Kathleen Galvin of Peabody and Beth Galvin of Georgetown,
A nephew, Alan Aulson 111 of Georgetown, his aunts and uncles, Joe Galvin of
Revere, Bob and his wife Maggie Galvin of Bridgewater, N.J., Patricia Fraser of
West Warrick, R.I., Claire Landry of Freetown, Ma., Laurette Voiles of Titusville,
Fl., his grandmother, Germaine Fraser of Salem, Ma. and several cousins.
His Funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. from the
Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody facility followed by
A Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 9:00 a.m. Burial in Puritan Lawn
Mem. Park, Peabody. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Relatives
And friends kindly invited. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Ward 4
Peabody Scholarship Fund , 10 Palmer Ave., Peabody, MA. 01960 in his memory.
Following burial, friends will be received at his parents residence in Peabody.
