Obituary of Jennie M. (Gaieski) Studzinski
Jennie M. (Gaieski) Studzinski, 89, of Peabody, died peacefully Thursday morning at the Renaissance Gardens Nursing Center at Brooksby Village, Peabody. She was the wife of the late Alfred E. Studzinski who died in 2001. She was born in Peabody on September 9, 1920, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Filipowa) Gaieski and was educated and resided in Peabody most of her life. A graduate of the Lynn Hospital School of Nursing, she served as a member of the US Army Nursing Corps during WW 11, stationed in North Africa, Corsica, and Sardinia.
Following her discharge, she was a registered nurse at the Salem Hospital and the former J.B. Thomas Hospital as well as a private duty nurse for several years prior to her retirement. Jennie had been an active member serving on many committees at the former St. Joseph’s Church in Peabody. Her interests included needlepoint andreading. She was an avid fan of her beloved Boston Red Sox.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward A. and Anne G. Studzinski of Chicago, IL and John J. Studzinski of London, England and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late LT COL John K. Gaieski, USMC of Peabody and the late Jessie Frederickson of Wilmington.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Brooksby Village Chapel, 101 Brooksby Village Drive, Peabody, MA. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn ST., Peabody facility. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Brooksby Village - Staff Appreciation Fund, Resident Life, 200 Brooksby Village Dr., Peabody, MA 01960 in her memory.
