Dear Mrs. Callahan and family,
Unfortunately I was unable to attend services for Tom since I am currently out of state. However, I would like to express my deepest sympathy to you and your family for your loss. Tom, better known to me as Mr. Callahan, was department head of the English Dept. when I was hired as an English teacher in 1972. I worked under his direction until he retired. Mr. Callahan was so knowledgeable about many different subjects, but he was also very caring and offered much needed advice to a young, newly married teacher. He will be missed.

Sincerely,
Linda Merrill

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Uncle Tommy was my grandfathers brother (Jim)....I am Shirleys daughter Lisa..I was young when Uncle Tommy would come to the house and take my grandfather to Dana Farber when he needed to go into Boston for his treatments. He was a wonderful man!!!
My years at PHS class of '53 were greatly enhanced by the education and emotional support of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Callahan. We had fun and learned a lot. Those days long ago have served me well and I appreciate all Mr. Callahan did to make my life more positive. Thanks, Mickey

I, too, am a member of PHS class of '64 and remember Mr. Callahan fondly. He was one of my all-time favorite teachers. I can still see myself sitting in his classroom, lined up in alphabetical order with Nancy in front of me and Carol in the seat behind me. He was soft-spoken and a truly gentle man. Thank you for the sweet memories.

I was very lucky to have Mr. Callahan as a teacher when I went to Peabody High School in the 60's. Having just been to the 45th reunion of the Class of' 64, we talked alot about our former teachers...and he was the main teacher we all knew and loved. His memory will live forever in his former students.
Judy
Mr. Callahan was one of my favorite teachers at Peabody High School. I was lucky enough to have him for my English teacher in both my junior and senior year. He was such a kind and soft spoken man, and I've thought of him often over the years. My sympathy to his family--may your memories bring you comfort.
