Obituary of Sr. Julienne Sullivan, SND

Sister Julienne Sullivan, SND, 81, of St. Mary Convent in Beverly, died on Tuesday Oct. 27, 2009 at the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur Residence in Ipswich. Sr. Julienne was born in Newton, daughter of the late Joseph L and Anna J. (Bernard) Sullivan, she grew up in West Newton. Sr. Julienne entered the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur at Waltham on August 6, 1947 and received her education at Emmanuel College and Brown University. During her 62 years of religious life, Sr. Julienne ministered in Lawrence, Cambridge, West Newton, Peabody, Waltham, Ipswich, Brighton, Malden and Beverly. Sr. Julienne is survived by her many Sisters of Notre Dame; a brother, Dr. William H. Sullivan & his wife Susan of Canton; a sister-in-law, Virginia of Natick; 18 nieces and nephews, and many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by a brother, Joseph L. Sullivan. Sr. Julienne’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Our Lady Queen Chapel, 30 Jeffrey’s Neck Rd., Ipswich. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may pay their respects on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Sisters of Notre Dame Residence in Ipswich. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Ipswich.
