Obituary of William R. Brown, Jr.

William R. Brown, Jr. 47, of Peabody and formerly of Malden, died on his 47th birthday after a courageous and valiant battle against brain cancer. He was the devoted husband of Stephanie (Caparell) Brown with whom he shared over 14 years of marriage. Born in Boston, he was the loving son of William R. Brown, Sr., and Catherine Brown of Malden. He was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School, class of 1981. He has lived in Peabody for the past 14 years. Bill was a Massachusetts Apprentice graduate and was hired by the Gillette Company as a Precision Grinder in 1987. He later became a Prototype Mold Maker, then a CAD/CAM Technician. He was promoted to Senior Research Engineer for Oral Care Research and Development. He went on to create many patented products for Gillette and the Proctor & Gamble Company. Besides his loving wife Stephanie, Bill is survived by his three sons William R. III, Devin M. and Shawn M. Brown, all of Wakefield, his beloved daughter, Christina E. Brown of Peabody, his two sisters and brothers-in-law, Valerie and Walfredo Garcia of Lewiston, ME and Cynthia and Douglas Masi of Amesbury, his aunts and uncles, Beverly and John Armando of Sharon, and Maura and the late John Doyle of Woburn. He is also survived by his grandson Tymothy Brown of Wakefield and 4 nieces and 2 nephews. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by Services at 11:00 AM at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
