Obituary of Willis R. "Bill" Lynch

Willis R. “Bill” Lynch, 76, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, died Tuesday evening at his home following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Nancy (Alliare) Lynch with whom he shared over 52 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Willis Lynch and Eleanor (Finlayson) (Lynch) Fletcher. He was raised in Lynn and has spent the last 47 years living in Peabody. Bill worked as a tool and die designer for over 35 years for the Triangle Tool and Die Company in Lynn. Bill was a member of the greater Lynn Camera Club and was the recipient of numerous awards and ribbons. When he retired, he joined the model ship building club at the Torigian Life Center in Peabody where he enjoyed spending many hours building model ships. Bill also liked to fish and for the past seven summers, he spent traveling with his wife going to Alaska and visiting with his daughter and going fishing. Besides his wife Nancy, Bill is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Rich and Terry Lynch of Peabody, two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathleen and Michael Rockenhauser of Derry, NH and Linda Lynch of Seward, Alaska, five grandchildren, Stephanie and Patrick Lynch of Peabody and Alicia, Cody, Carly Rockenhauser of Derry, NH and is also survived by his rescued dog, Shadow from the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem. He was the brother of the late Royal Lynch and Larry Fletcher and was the step son of the late James Fletcher. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
